This website is designed to provide service information without collecting identity documents or firearm-specific sensitive records.
Of Information You Choose to Send
The website itself does not provide a customer-account system, online firearm store, background-check form, or identity-document upload. If you select an email link, your email application opens and you decide what to send directly to WDF.
If you use the message form on the Contact & Location page or send a request from the Start a Transfer page, the details you enter and any documents you attach are emailed to WDF at documents@wdfirearms.com so WDF can respond. Photos are re-saved without hidden metadata such as location before they are sent. The website does not save form submissions or attachments; uploaded files are held only in a private temporary folder while the email is sent, then deleted.
After you send a form, the website emails a confirmation with a reference number to the address you entered. To limit abuse, the server keeps a count of submissions from each connection, and of confirmations to each address, for up to one hour, labelled with a one-way hash rather than the address itself.
The forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated spam. When a form page loads, your browser connects to Cloudflare, which may process technical information such as your network address and browser details under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
For transfer coordination, WDF may need ordinary contact and transaction details such as your name, email, telephone number, seller contact, order number, general item category, shipment timing, and tracking number.
Email Only the Documents WDF Requests
New WDF customers should email a picture of their driver’s license and CPL, if they have one, as part of the transfer request. Do not send Social Security numbers, payment-card information, background-check records, or unrelated sensitive records.
Of Technical Information
Like most websites, the hosting system may create limited security and operational logs, such as request time, requested page, browser type, network address, response status, and data volume. This information may be used to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and understand the website.
Of Cookies
The public informational pages are designed to work without advertising or ecommerce tracking. WordPress may use essential cookies for administrators who sign in. The location map is served from this website and sets no cookies.
Of Email & Business Records
Information sent by email is handled through the recipient’s email service rather than stored by this theme. WDF may retain business communications and transaction records when operational, contractual, safety, or legal obligations require them. Email only the transfer details and identification documents WDF requests.
Of the Location Map & Third-Party Links
The map on the home page and the Contact & Location page is drawn from OpenStreetMap data and served from this website, so viewing it does not connect your browser to a map provider. The directions button opens Google Maps only after you choose it, and the OpenStreetMap credit link opens that site only if you follow it. These external services have their own privacy practices.
